Archives Photography Ministry Mission Statement

The "Archives" Photography Ministry is designed to assist the website and bulletin in recording the special events of the parish through photos and video.

We are always looking for contributing members to our photography "archives".

Our photo coverage includes:

The RCIA candidate’s journey archiving several Rites in February and March including the Rite of Election with the Archbishop, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil baptisms.

The PSR 1st Communion Masses. There are up to 12 individual Masses we try our best to cover, taking photos of the child’s 1st Communion and Group photos after Mass. Photos are given to Linda Mauge on disk for distribution to the parents.

We also try to cover the following:

·         Pot Luck Dinners

·         Fall Festival – October

·         Filipino-American Dinner Dance – November

·         Feast Day of SJN – January 5th

·         Valentine’s Day Dance - February

·         Confirmation Mass

·         Ministry Coordinators Appreciation Brunch

·         SMILE Run

What do you need? A good eye for taking photos and just about any modern camera, even smart phone cameras, will do for outdoor activities. For indoor activities that permit flash photography any decent digital camera with a flash will do. For activities during Mass, such as 1st Communion, flash is not permitted and a good digital SLR camera is preferred to minimize grain associated with low light photography.

Our ministry gives our parishioners the opportunity to look back at past events and provide those who were not able to attend an event a glimpse of what took place.

If you are interested in photographing any of the above events or have an interest in submitting photos of your ministry for the parish web site please contact me.
