Youth Basketball Registration

For the second year, we will be offering a co-ed basketball program for 1st and 2nd graders to be held on Friday evenings from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm and continue until the CMLA regular season ends. Our desire is that the parents would participate in the program with the children. The 90-minute program would be broken into two parts.

  • Basketball fundamentals: In a fun learning environment, the children would learn the basics of basketball; dribbling, passing, defending, and shooting.
  • 20-minute scrimmage: The CMLA rules would be followed and the scrimmage sessions will reinforce the basketball fundamentals, good sportsmanship, foul shots, and various inbound scenarios.

Each child would receive the same jersey as the older kids in the CMLA program and they would follow the same league rules. This program would focus on teaching the kids the fundamentals of basketball in a fun environment. The cost of the program is $60.00.
