First we'll be studying Queen of Heaven "Mary's Battle for You"!  Join Us and discover the Amazing Story of Your Queen.

  • Better understand her life in Scripture
  • Walk with Mary throughout history
  • Learn daily Marian devotional practices
  • Let her lead you to Christ!

Watch a short video clip on this wonderful program:

Plus we'll then follow up with a new Catholic scripture study entitled "Jesus Revealed" which is an 18 part study that will transform the relationship that you have with Our Lord to a whole new level.  Discover the meaning of the titles and images through which Jesus reveals Himself to us.

Through Jesus Revealed you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of Jesus/more familiar titles - Christ, Lord, Savior, Son of God, Son of Man and Good Sheperd
  • Ponder life-changing beauty and mystery of Our Lord's less-familiar names
  • Examine - like each brilliant facet of a diamond - the One who holds you in existence, and come to know Jesus more deeply than ever before.

Come encounter Him more intimately, again and again, as you discover Jesus Revealed. Watch a short video by Fr. Jeffrey Kirby:

Lord Teach Me To Pray is a three-part Ignatian prayer series developed in 2001 to meet the desire of men and women for on-going spiritual growth as they respond to the call to holiness and to a deeper commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord.   It was developed as an outreach program to bring the Holy Spirit into our daily lives in facilitated faith-sharing prayer communities, where the Lord, himself, teaches them to pray.   Lord Teach Me To Pray is part of the New Evangelization as understood in the writings and initiatives of Blessed John Paul II, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and Pope Francis.  The mission of Lord, Teach Me To Pray consists in enabling  men and women to grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, thus facilitating their eternal salvation and that of their family.

Part 1: Praying Christian Virtues

Praying Christian Virtues will introduce you to the meditative and contemplative way of prayer devised by St. Ignatius of Loyola, enabling you to further develop your prayer life.  This 12 week program is facilitated in a group setting, meets for 2 hours once a week, and requires fifteen minutes of daily prayer on assigned scriptures.  (No prerequisites)

Part 2: My 19th Annotation

This communal approach allows you to do the full Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  You will pray for all the graces that are offered while experiencing the direction of the Holy Spirit through weekly Faith Sharing on your daily prayer.  This 30 week program is facilitated in a group setting, meets for 2 hours once a week, and requires thirty to forty-five minutes of daily prayer on assigned scriptures. (Part 1 is a prerequisite.)

Part 3: Discernment & Gifts of the Spirit

Through catechesis on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, praying St. Ignatius’ Rules of Discernment, and weekly Faith Sharing on your daily prayer, you will experience the grace of growing in sensitivity to God’s presence, enabling you to become more responsive to His daily call.  This 14 week program is facilitated in a group setting, meets for 2 hours once a week, and requires forty-five to sixty minutes of daily prayer on assigned scriptures. (Parts 1 and 2 are prerequisites.)

Contact Chris, if you are interested in learning to pray in a more meaningful way.

Adult Evening Bible Study

The Adult Evening Bible Study will present Bishop Robert Barron’s 13 part film series, “The Pivotal Players”.  It is a tribute to those men and women whose friendship with Christ transformed not only their own lives, but also the world.   Through the study of Pivotal Players, we will discover that these are not just people to be admired but an invitation to accept as their own the universal call to holiness.  Below is the list of the “Pivotal Players” included in Volume 1:

  • St. Francis of Assisi, the Reformer
  • St. Thomas Aquinas, the Theologian
  • St. Catherine of Siena, the Mystic
  • Blessed John Henry Newman, the Convert
  • G. K. Chesterton, the Evangelist
  • Michelangelo, the Artist

The Adult Evening Bible Study meets on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:30 beginning September 11, 2017.  Registration forms are available on the website or outside the Religious Education office.  The cost of the notebook is $30.00 payable to St. John Neumann at the first class.
