How Committed are We to Sharing Our Faith
3rd Sunday of Easter
The command of the Lord in today’s Gospel has been followed by his disciples as we hear in the 1st reading from the Acts of the Apostles. Peter and his companions preached the Gospel boldly saying, “Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.” In the 2nd reading, Apostle John urges his readers to stop sinning, and if they have sinned they should seek forgiveness in Christ who by his sacrifice has taken away our sins.
The disciples recognized the Lord at the breaking of the Bread. Then they were told to be witnesses of the Gospel to the world. Our mission today is to recognize the Risen Savior at the breaking of the Bread in the Holy Eucharist and carry His message of Love and Mercy to the people whom we encounter in our daily lives. The Apostles were faithful in sharing the story of Salvation to the ends of the world.
How committed are we in living our Faith and sharing our Faith with others?
